Klout: Twitter analysis tool

Klout
I am always on the look out for new and interesting personalities or brands to follow, via RSS or Twitter. Klout is fantastic resource that lists the top “influencers” within different topics, like social media and brand management. It allows me to see who are the best people to follow, as recommended by my peers. After signing up the Elliot Owl Twitter account, Klout automatically analyses my influencers, and who I am influencing. It produces statistics for me and tells me what kind of a Tweeter I am. This is fantastic for businesses who need to know whether or not their Twitter efforts are going to waste.

Elliot Owl is less than a week old, but Klout was still able to do a reasonably accurate analysis. My profile page states:

ElliotOwl is a climber

You are building an audience and finding your voice. Engaging more with others and building trust will help you move towards the upper right corner and then into the Persona quadrant. On the flip side, however, corporate broadcasters and spammers often find themselves in the lower right corner with a relatively large audience but no influence. ”

With this information, together with the statistics that have been provided for me in the areas of reach, demand, engagement and velocity, I can review my Twitter activity and shape my Twitter brand into a more effective and successful one.
