Melbourne, the film

Melbourne.

I love this city. It manages to inspire me every single day. A few months ago, as a little side project for uni, I decided to film my Melbourne through my eyes.

I recorded my thought process here. An excerpt:

“There is so much about Melbourne that it is difficult to pull out a single outstanding feature. I didn’t want it to be about something typical that one might pull out of a Lonely Planet guidebook. After much thought (and throwing out completely random ideas like coffee and hands), I settled on the theme of movement. Melbourne is a city that is in constant motion. I realised that I myself don’t notice it all that much but one day I decided to stop moving and just watch. I was fascinated by how there is something moving at every single moment in time: tram doors opening and closing, the rustle of leaves in the wind, water running, cars passing, the dozens of feet crossing a junction when the light turns green.”
